Exploring Seattle From Land To Sea

Seattle welcomed me into its arms with everything I expected and more – moody weather, hipster vibes and close proximity to beautiful nature. The city combines everything I love about a city. Between its vibrant local culture, the Pacific Northwest mountainous and oceanic influence, delicious foods and forward-thinking people… what doesn’t Seattle have to boast about? What used to be the birthplace of grunge is now an evolved, original and downright cool city to explore. Here are some of my favorite spots I explored in The Emerald City!

Seattle Spots To Explore

Chihuly Exhibit

I’ve seen this scene tons of times on Instagram and made a mental note to shoot here if I ever visited Seattle. When I finally made it here, I made it a priority to visit the Chihuly Exhibit. Without knowing much about the artist, I was completely surprised and blown away by the beauty of the blown stained glass sculptures. If you’re ever in the city, this exhibit is truly worth the visit!

First Starbucks

Ah, yes! What would be an adventure in Seattle without a pitstop the original caffeination pitstop scattered around the world? Although this sight is seemingly always packed with tourists, it’s certain worth a visit to pay homage to your love of coffee.

The Market Theatre Gum Wall

Perhaps the perfect mix of gross and original, the infamous Gum Wall is a narrow alleyway near Pike Place Market absolutely COVERED in chewed gum. I was shocked to see how thick parts of the walls were! Some of the parts of the walkway were covered, all the way up to fifteen feet high. Crazy, cool, weird? Yes, all of the above!

Pike Place

Pike Place is certainly a must-do stop in Seattle! The public market overlooks the Elliott Bay waterfront… giving everyone a gorgeous view of the ocean. It’s no surprise that it’s one of the oldest public farmers’ markets in the US! I found myself wandering into the Pike Place Market over and over again just to stroll past the endless rows of these vibrant flowers. If you’re not looking for a fresh bouquet or some artisan gifts, it truly is the heart of Seattle’s food scene. Indulge in some local favorites, like clam chowder, and always, always, always come hungry!

Kerry Park

Sneak a peek at the looming Seattle Space Needle from Kerry Park. It’s the perfect spot to have a picnic in between Seattle’s rain showers. This stunning view is the perfect vantage point in the city!

LePichet Cafe

Seattle’s food scene is amazing and can feel very overwhelming, I loved stumbling into LePichet Cafe in between my adventuring. This homey French bistro serves some delicious bites, including their slow roasted chicken that will leave you talking about it for days!

Purple Cafe & Wine Bar

Another goodie that I discovered was Purple Cafe’s modern and open wine bar. Sipping some wine in between rain showers (while admiring their truly stunning staircase) was a great retreat.

Seattle By Sea

Now, when it comes to lodging… Seattle boasts a natural landscape that is harmonious to the Pacific Northwest’s pine-lined mountains and the looming ocean. I felt so grateful that I was able to experience Seattle’s natural landscape through some absolutely stunning vistas in my own hotel rooms! I booked my stay using Hotel Tonight’s app, which connected me with some truly special hotel rooms I would have easily overlooked.

Edgewater Hotel

First up, Seattle by sea. This is one of Seattle’s one and only waterfront hotels in the city. How can you not feel peaceful and thankful with views like this? Plus, the famous Pike Place Market was just a quick ten minutes away!

And how rad is The Beatles suite here? This is where the band once stayed during their 1964 tour where original memorabilia like a record player can be found. Truly a music lover’s dream!

One big reason why I love using Hotel Tonight’s app is because of their boutique hotel gems are never lacking.

Seattle By Land

Half way through my adventure in Seattle, I switched hotels to experience a different side of this beautiful city. I gotta say, leaving the shore was hard, but walking into some strikingly different, yet stunning views of the Emerald City made my trip so special!

Thompson Hotel

Say hello to a birds’ eye view I never wanted to leave! I mean, why would I ever want to adventure outside these windows when there’s so much beauty to soak in in one place? I absolutely adored waking up with the sunrise over the harbor, watching Seattle start to awaken below. Every morning felt like such a treat! Plus, this urban, modern hotel boasts some seriously cool vibes, in its both its unique rooms, lobby and bar area. A total hipster, sleek hangout spot, for sure! Exploring Seattle From Land To SeaExploring Seattle From Land To Sea Exploring Seattle From Land To Sea Exploring Seattle From Land To Sea Exploring Seattle From Land To Sea Exploring Seattle From Land To Sea Exploring Seattle From Land To Sea Exploring Seattle From Land To Sea Exploring Seattle From Land To Sea
